Hi

I received some great feedback on my last newsletter. Apparently, a lot of folks think my 5 Rules for Surviving Violent Crime are worth emailing to friends and family. Remember, if you know them and follow them, you won’t have to stand around wondering what to do should you ever find yourself in a bad situation.

Here’s our 3rd Rule for surviving a violent crime. It’s simple; follow it no matter what:

Never go to a second location.

Things never get better at crime scene #2. If you’re in a store that’s robbed and the robbers have taken everyone’s money and cleaned out the cash register and they announce that now everyone’s going to go in the back room and lie on the floor, that back room is a second location.

If you’re carjacked, the place they got in the car is crime scene #1, where you’re headed is crime scene #2. In my upcoming DVD on Defeating Attackers, I’ll tell you exactly what you should do in a carjacking. It might surprise you.

If your home is robbed and then they try to tie you up, your home becomes the 2nd location. Fight, run, do what you have to do, but never allow yourself or another person to be restrained. Once a home invader has time, isolation and control, you’re in serious trouble. In my upcoming DVD I’ll show you how to fight like a beast uncaged. That DVD is not about how to “step outside” and settle things “man to man.” That sort of nonsense will get you hurt, jailed, or both. What I’ll show you will be how to unleash some seriously explosive violence on anyone who puts you or your family at risk. By the way, the plan for a home invasion is identical to a home fire plan – which everyone should have – the DVD will cover both.

If you think resistance might get you hurt, you’re right, and if that thought bothers you, then I’ll tell you right now, you’re not going to like rule #4.

On a lighter note – I’m happy to report I have articles in the current newsstand editions of both Black Belt Magazine, and Tai Chi Magazine. That means I've either had articles or been interviewed in 4 magazines so far this year. Sorry, had to brag a little. The one in Black Belt Magazine is on Speed Hitting (check out my video “How to Hit Faster Than the Other Guy” at www.mindbodybreakthroughs.com). The article in Tai Chi Magazine is on How to Teach the Philosophy of Tai Chi (check out my philosophy book “Bend the Bow and Shoot the Tiger” at www.mindbodybreakthroughs.com).

Until next time, stay safe, stay fit, train like you mean it,
