Dear Friend,
As a kung fu instructor people expect me to be flexible - and I am.
Sort of.
I can touch my palms to the floor, kick a person my height in the head, do a full bridge with one arm (or leg), do a full spinal twist, etc. etc. But I've had to work at it, it took me a long time to get there, it was painful, and if I don't maintain it, it says adios.
That's a problem for several obvious reasons. Namely, I don't like pain, and I'm busy. When I get busy, I miss workouts. When I miss workouts I lose my stretch. To get it back takes time and it hurts.
Like I said, it's a problem.
I do it because I need to be flexible for my job . . .
and the benefits of flexibility are huge:
- I'll live longer
- I have greater range of motion in the joints
- I have fewer injuries
- I enjoy more energy all day long and better sleep at night
- My health is great and I have an all-day-long feeling of well-being
- I get a regular physical and my Doctor tells me I have maximum function of the respiratory, digestive, reproductive and immune systems
- I live each day with more stable mood, and better focus
So you can see why I've taken the time and put up with the pain. Besides . . .
The Alternative is a Stiff, "Creaky" Old Age!
Just watching people who aren't flexible is enough to keep me honest about regular stretching. If you're not very flexible, maybe some of this will sound familiar to you:
- You're tired and stiff in the morning and you stay that way all day.
- You grunt when you get out of a chair.
- You contort yourself and look foolish trying to stand up if you're on the floor or ground.
- You constantly suffer from little aches and pains because you "did something funny" to your whatever.
- You don't participate in certain fun, healthful activities because your body can't take it.
- You're tired often, have bad posture, and don't look so great.
- You suffer from pain and discomfort that is so chronic most of the time you don't "notice" it.
If any of that rings a bell let me be straight with you about one thing - it gets worse down the road. Your lifestyle will conform to your body, not the other way around. Your chronic pain will make medication a part of your "golden years" reality. Lethargy and sitting around will replace active participation in life.
Think I'm exaggerating or trying to scare you? I'm not, and the stats back me up. That's one of the reasons I've put up with painful stretching for years.
The good news is you can fix it now - I've found a way that's cheap, fast, easy, painless, and even fun.
You see, a few months ago an interesting guy joined my school.
I figured he was in his early twenties (he's actually much older), trim, strong-looking but not big. I noticed right away that he made good eye contact, but at the same time gave off a relaxed vibe. He was confident, but not pushy. Relaxed, yet focused.
When it came time to sign up he was ready to do it . . . with one condition.
He said he would need to be gone for six weeks at a time three or four times a year. That's almost six months out of the year!
I'm really not interested in part-time students, but I liked the guy so I asked him why he needed to be gone so much.
He explained that he's a nationally certified, professional Yogi, and he spends a good part of each year as a faculty member teaching Yoga at a private retreat in Costa Rica.
I have to confess that this intrigued me
Well, I figured, everyone has to earn a living, he seemed sincere about martial arts, and with his background he would make a nice addition to the School. So I worked out a special membership for him.
I'm glad I did.
Shortly after he began his training with me we started swapping private lessons. We'd meet in the morning and I'd work on his kung fu with him, then he'd help me with my flexibility. He taught me yoga specifically geared to develop strength, flexibility, and greater energy.
In his own words, here's how he describes what I was so eagerly learning (this is an excerpt from a letter he sent me):
Stretching is one of the most natural actions. It is shared by all creatures on our planet. From the 2 legged to the 4 legged, 8 and more, winged, finned and even limbless. All will pause from time to time to take a stretch.
Stretching your body is not to move into pain, it is to make creative tension, and release unnecessary tension, all the while being aware of the layers of sensations in the body.
Forcing, pushing, and bouncing into a posture is not a natural way. Following the breath and being still and steady, with patience, and releasing into the pose is how we stretch, rather than the old adage of "no pain, no gain." Throw that away.
He's right.
Now, before I go any further, let me tell you that what he teaches isn't for everyone. Some people will actually be put off by it. You see, many people have the idea that stretching is a "necessary evil." That you should devote a minimum amount of time to it, that it should hurt, and that all you really need to be able to do is touch your toes.
On the other hand, a surprisingly large number of people stretch far beyond the point of what is practical. They turn themselves into human pretzels because they think that proves something.
If you belong to either of those extremes, I'll tell you quite
frankly that while you're welcome to your
opinion - this system is not for you.
If however, you're seeking a balanced program for rapid, pain-free flexibility, then pay close attention. The system he taught me has made such a difference in my life that I convinced him we need to get this program on DVD for the sake of people who - just like me - want to all the benefits of "limber-living", but hate pain and are busy.
He agreed to do it.

Here's what I've learned . . . and what you'll learn (and will be able to do) simply by following his simple 2 DVD program:
(By the way, before you even begin to learn the things I'm going to tell you about in a moment, the program begins with a method of spinal mobility that focuses and prepares you mentally, physically, and spiritually for successful, pain-free stretching.)
Once you've learned the 7 directions of the spine and have warmed up with "core flexibility," here's what you get:
The 3 elements of a successful stretch that will leave you feeling relaxed, loose-limbed, and centered
- How to double your flexibility your first evening, giving you an instant confidence boost
- The ingredients of an "intelligent" stretch and how this knowledge will put you light years ahead of 99% of athletes (tip - you'll learn the difference between creative and unnecessary tension. This secret alone could change your life.)
- The 3 keys to pain-free stretching
- Why extension is not necessarily a straight line and how you can use this little-known fact to boost your flexibility gains far beyond what many pro athletes ever achieve
- Why "bouncing" is bad and what you should do instead · The importance of the bowl of the pelvis for fast results
At this point, you're probably wondering what it costs. Well, we're not giving it away, that's for sure. It's taken my Yogi friend over 500 hours of paid instruction to learn what he's going to share with you.
Of course, you don't need to buy the DVD at all. You could learn from my friend personally when he's down in Costa Rica. That would only cost you $3,800.00. Just whip out your credit card to pay for room, meals, and tuition, hop on a jet and presto . . . you'll walk out of the jungle a new person.
Come to think of it though, a lot of the people who actually do that will end up buying the DVD too!
But let's say you can't fit a trip to Costa Rica into your schedule right now. Fair enough.
Only a small number of people are aware of this offer, and the response has already surpassed my most optimistic hopes. To receive your copy of this truly remarkable, step-by-step system, that leads you by the hand as it doubles or even triples your flexibility, sky rockets your energy level as it calms you, plus increases your strength, breathing control, balance and mental focus simply click here.

P.S. Here's a final testimonial to prove to you how much you'll benefit from this program:
I have been lucky enough to learn Daniel Hickman's approach to yoga. He has helped me to become stronger and more flexible while at the same time guiding me to recognize the strength and flexibility I already possess.
He draws on a wealth of disciplines to lead others in achieving their physical goals, at the same time utilizing techniques to strengthen inner awareness. I leave his practices feeling limber and ready to face the challenges ahead with a fresh perspective.
