Black
Belt is a Goal, Black Belt is an Accomplishment, and Black Belt
is a Sign of Leadership . . . Here's How You Can Get Your Black
Belt
Dear Friend,
My name is Rob LaPointe,
and yes, I'm a Black Belt. I got my first Black Belt in 1982. I
got my second Black Belt in 1989. Since then, I've promoted only
9 people to Black Belt, so I think I know what Black Belt is . .
. and what Black Belt isn't.
If you're tired of "Black
Belt Inflation" (people getting "Black Belts" in less than two years,
and with very few of the skills Black Belt should require) then
keep reading, because I'm going to tell you what I firmly believe
a real Black Belt should be.
Black Belt means superlative
skill in sparring
Black Belt means superior understanding of technique and or/form
Black Belt means tournament experience
Black Belt means exemplary skill in teaching
Black Belt means leading by example - which means a Black Belt should
be physically fit, a Black Belt should have good character, and
a Black Belt treat others with respect

working on attaining the rank of Black Belt, or are aleady a Black
Belt and want to improve your Black Belt skills click
